Terms of Use
Operator information
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are issued by TinyForge ("we", "us"), operator of tinyforge.space and its browser extensions. By installing or using any of our extensions, or by purchasing through this website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't install, use, or purchase.
What these Terms cover
The first part below applies to TinyForge as a whole — the website, purchases, and every extension we publish. After it, a separate part covers each individual extension and its own specifics. Currently published: Color Catcher.
Applies to all TinyForge products
The website, the purchase flow, and every extension we publish.
License grant
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use our extensions for your own use. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute an extension or any transaction ID / activation associated with your purchase.
Purchases and payment
- Purchases are made on a page hosted at tinyforge.space, outside the extension itself.
- Payments are processed by Paddle.com Ltd, who acts as the merchant of record — meaning Paddle, not TinyForge, is the seller you're contracting with for the transaction, handles applicable sales tax/VAT, and issues your receipt. Paddle's own terms (available at checkout) apply to the payment itself.
- Upon successful payment, you'll be shown a Paddle transaction ID. Keep it — it's what you enter in the extension to activate your purchase, and it's the only way to restore access if you reinstall the extension or switch devices.
Activation limits and device recovery
- Each purchase can be activated on a limited number of devices. Reopening the extension on an already-activated device doesn't consume a new slot.
- If you run out of activation slots and believe this is a mistake, contact tinyforge.space@yahoo.com from the email address you used to pay — we can manually increase your limit after verifying the purchase.
- If you lose your transaction ID entirely, email support from your purchase email; we'll verify against Paddle's records and help you recover it. We cannot recover a purchase if we cannot confirm the purchasing email.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Paddle, per Paddle's own refund policy, since Paddle is the merchant of record for your purchase. To request a refund, use the link in your Paddle receipt email or contact Paddle support directly. We're happy to assist or advocate on your behalf if you reach out to tinyforge.space@yahoo.com, but the decision and process are Paddle's. Full detail, including your statutory rights: Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with free-use limits or license verification other than through the intended purchase/activation flow;
- Use our extensions to extract or process content you don't have the right to access;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract secrets from our products beyond what's permitted by applicable law;
- Resell, share, or publish transaction IDs or activation credentials.
We may suspend activation for a transaction ID we reasonably believe is being abused (e.g. shared publicly, used far beyond normal personal use).
Disclaimer of warranties
Our products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TinyForge is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to our products and these Terms
We may update our extensions, the purchase flow, or these Terms at any time — including adding a new part when a new extension is published. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination
We may discontinue a product or your access to it if you violate these Terms. You may stop using a product at any time by uninstalling it.
Governing law
Our products are operated under the laws of Montenegro. Users from other jurisdictions use them at their own responsibility. Payment disputes are separately covered by Paddle's own buyer terms, since Paddle is the merchant of record for your purchase.
Color Catcher
Applies to the Color Catcher Chrome extension specifically.
What it is
Color Catcher is a Chrome extension that extracts a webpage's color palette and lets you pick a single page element to inspect its colors and typography. It runs locally in your browser — see the Color Catcher part of our Privacy Policy for what limited data leaves your device.
Free tier and paid access
- Each of the two features ("Get palette" and "Pick element") includes a number of free uses, tracked locally on your device. A free use is spent when you actually get a result, not when you open the feature.
- Lifetime access removes this limit for both features on a one-time payment — the price shown at checkout is authoritative.
- Free-use counts and lifetime-access status are tied to the browser installation (via a locally generated device ID), not to a user account.
Accuracy of results
Color extraction is a best-effort analysis of what a page renders and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Known limits include colors inside cross-origin iframes, images whose pixels the other domain won't let us read, shadows, pseudo-elements, and very large pages where only part of the document is analyzed.
